Teaching Experience

I enjoy making technical ideas approachable through hands-on exercises, individual guidance, and detailed feedback. My teaching experience at UC San Diego spans computer science, data science, and biological sciences.

Computer Science & Data Science

Teaching Assistant · UC San Diego
January 2022–present

I support students through office hours and one-on-one discussions about data manipulation, statistical analysis, machine learning, and algorithms. I design and grade assignments and projects, and work with instructors to develop course materials. I also helped transition an exam from paper to an online coding format.

Courses I have supported:

  • DSC 30 — Data Structures and Algorithms for Data Science (WI25, FA24, S123, SP23)
  • DSC 40A — Theoretical Foundations of Data Science (WI24)
  • DSC 80 — The Practice and Application of Data Science (FA24, SP24, FA23)

Biological Sciences

Undergraduate Instructional Assistant · UC San Diego
March–June 2024

I supported laboratory sessions and discussion groups in molecular biology and genetics, guiding students through experimental procedures and helping them connect laboratory work with the underlying concepts. I also developed and graded exams and assignments, with feedback on biological processes and laboratory techniques.

Courses I have supported:

  • BIMM 100 — Molecular Biology (SP24)
